Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

We are currently looking for Disability Support Worker to work with a client in Caboolture, QLD. Our participant is a 23-year-old male and has sustained Spinal Cord Injury from a motor vehicle accident and require moderate to high intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with Spinal Cord Injury will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight. Our participant requires support 7 days a week.

We can offer part-time hours with some flexibility on selected shifts as per your availability.

Shifts could be assigned across the following times:

Monday to Sunday - 03.00pm to 08.00pm

Pay Rates:

Day Shift $40.00 per hour
Afternoon Shift $44.00 per hour
Saturday Shift $56.00 per hour
Sunday Shift $72.00 per hour
$0.99 per KM travelled (applies to injury-related travel only)

Key Responsibilities:

Assistance with personal care
Assistance with bowel therapy (performing digital stimulation)
Prompt the participant to attend his self-catheter if required.
Pivot Transfers
Medication Prompting
Attend to thorough skin checks
Assistance with domestic tasks including meal preparation
Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
Community access + rehab appointments
Capacity Building and Companionship

Skills & Experiences:

Excellent Communication
Australian Driver Licence + own vehicle
Current National Police Clearance
Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
Current Blue Card
First Aid & CPR Certificate
Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
