Disability Support Worker

About Us: Unidex Healthcare is a privately owned recruitment company established in 2020, operating across Australia with main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland. We specialize in recruiting for all areas of healthcare, focusing on Disability Services, Support Services, and Allied Health.

The Role: We are seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers to assist with multiple clients across Sunshine Coast, QLD. Most of our participants have sustained Traumatic or Acquired Brain Injury or Spinal Cord Injury.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and prompting.
• Hoisting.
• Assistance with Personal care (Showering, Toileting, Dressing and Grooming).

• Companionship & Capacity Building.
• Assistance with domestic tasks, including cleaning & meal preparation
• Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
• Medication Prompting
• Transportation: community access, health-related appointments, etc.

Rosters: Multiple shifts available.

• Day shift: 6am/7am to 2pm/3pm.
• Afternoon Shifts: 2pm/3pm - 10pm/11pm.
• Weekend shifts.
• Inactive sleepovers.

Compensation:

• Between $38.75 per hour to $69.75 per hour.
• Travel Allowance: $0.99 per km (for medical-related travel)

Skills & Experience Required:

• Valid Australian Driver's License
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current Police Clearance
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Current Blue Card
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Completion of NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Third Party Compulsory Insurance
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
