About the Role:

Unidex Healthcare is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Tamworth.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting participants with:

  • Supporting participants with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, or neurological conditions
  • Personal care and daily living support
  • Community access and social engagement
  • Capacity building and independence development
  • Manual handling and mobility support
  • Medication assistance (where applicable)
  • Behavioural and complex care support (where applicable)
  • Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals

About You

We are seeking individuals who are:

  • Compassionate, reliable and professional
  • Experienced supporting participants with disabilities
  • Comfortable working within complex care environments (desirable)
  • Strong communicators with a participant-centred approach
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts

Pay & Incentives: Above-award pay rates based on role complexity

Skills & Experiences:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (essential)
  • Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screen check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
