About the Role:
Unidex Healthcare is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Tamworth.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting participants with:
- Supporting participants with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, or neurological conditions
- Personal care and daily living support
- Community access and social engagement
- Capacity building and independence development
- Manual handling and mobility support
- Medication assistance (where applicable)
- Behavioural and complex care support (where applicable)
- Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals
About You
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Compassionate, reliable and professional
- Experienced supporting participants with disabilities
- Comfortable working within complex care environments (desirable)
- Strong communicators with a participant-centred approach
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts
Pay & Incentives: Above-award pay rates based on role complexity
Skills & Experiences:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (essential)
- Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
- Current NDIS Worker Screen check
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Australian Driver Licence
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Effective Communication Module
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
- Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
