Disability Support Worker – Tamworth

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We are currently recruiting Disability Support Workers to support our Male participant located in Tamworth, NSW. Our participant sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) due to a Motor Vehicle Accident and requires assistance with all aspects of daily life.

Roster:

Monday-1400-2200

Friday-0600-1400

Pay Rates:

• Day - $38.75 per hour
• Afternoon - $42.63 per hour
• Saturday - $54.25 per hour
• Sunday - $69.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance/Prompting with Personal care
• Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
• Community access
• Social Support
• Mentoring and Guidance
• Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plan

Skills & Experiences:

• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
• Experience with Challenging Behaviours
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current National Police Clearance (Within 12 months of issue)
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Australian Driver Licence (No Restrictions)
• Current WWCC
