Disability Support Worker – Coonabarabran

About the Company:

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

Our participant is a 39-year-old female who has sustained a Spinal Cord Injury and is located in Coonabarabran, NSW.

We are recruting a fresh team of dedicated support workers to work across 7 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Requirements:

Due to the complexity of the participant, successful candidates should preferably have prior experience working with complex care clients however this is not essential as full training will be provided for the role from our clinical team.

Ideal experience for this role would include:

• Personal care
• Bowel care
• Maintaining Skin Integrity (pressure injuries)
• Manual handling (hoisting)
• Domestic tasks
• Catheter care

Pay Rates

• Day Shift - $38.75 p/h
• Afternoon Shift - $42.63 p/h
• Saturday Shift - $54.25 p/h
• Sunday Shift - $69.75 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Assistance with meal preparation
• Assistance with daily Health & Rehab exercises
• Community access + rehab appointments
• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with bowel and catheter care

Skills & Experiences:

• Experience with spinal cord injuries (preferred however not essential)
• Experience with catheter management and bowel therapy (preferred however not essential)
• Experience with Manual Handling
• Australian Driver License
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working with Children's Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
