Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specializing in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

Highly skilled support workers required to assist 2:1 on a 24:7 based roster.

Experience in peg feeding, non verbal cues, manual handling, incontinence assistance and bowel care are required.

Shift times:

6 am - 2 pm ,2 pm - 10 pm ,active sleepover 10 pm - 6 am

Rates

• Day - $41.45 per hour
• Afternoon rate - $45.60 per hour
• Night rate- $ 46.42 per hour
• Saturday - $ 58.03 per hour
• Sunday - $ 74.61 per hour

Duties

• Assistance with high care personal cares, incontinence assistance, bowel theraphy
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling such as transfers, hoisting and slide sheets
• Administering medication via peg
• Assisting with community access + health and rehab appointments
• Peg feeding assistance

Skills and experiences

• Australian Driver Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged care
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
• Administer medication certificate
