The Role:

We are currently looking for Disability Support Worker to work with a female client in Southport, Qld. Our participant has suffered a traumatic brain injury post a motor vehicle accident and require low to moderate intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with brain injury clients will be highly regarded.

The available shift hours are Saturday and Sunday from 7am - 2pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the client with scheduling her week.
• Ensure client's appointments are noted and that she attends.
• Ensure any other commitments are kept, e.g. children to daycare/school, children's appointments.
• Planning family meals for the week, assist with formulating grocery list.
• Prompting Lauren to initiate daily living activities.
• Cooking, food preparation and serving.
• Grocery shopping
• Laundry
• Cleaning
• Assisting with childcare
• Trasport to medical and rehabilitation appointments.
• Transport to recreational, social and leisure activities.
• Transport children to and from school/childcare

Pay rates:

• Saturday: $54.25 per hour
• Sunday: $69.75 per hour

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Certificate of Completion
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module - Certificate of Completion
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
