Disability Support Worker

Start Date: ASAP | Fixed / Ongoing Assignment | $45.00 - $81.00 per Hour

The Role: We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to assist a male participant in Labrador, QLD 4215, who has sustained a traumatic brain and spinal cord injury. The position is available immediately, with 24/7 support required. We are specifically seeking someone to fill the active night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Domestic assistance
• Meal preparation
• Bowel management
• Catheter management
• Medication management
• Skin integrity management
• Manual handling - transfer, reposition + hoist
• Community access + health and rehab appointment

Compensation:

• Day Shift: $45.00 per hour
• Afternoon shift: $49.50 per hour
• Night shift: $50.40 per hour
• Saturday shift: $63.00 per hour
• Sunday shift: $81.00 per hour
• Travel Allowance: $0.99 per km (for medical-related travel)

Skills & Experience Required:

• Valid Australian Driver's License
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current Police Clearance
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Current Blue Card
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Completion of NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Third Party Compulsory Insurance
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
