Disability Support Worker

About the Company:

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the health care field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We require a support worker to partner with a female participant based in Mackay. Experience with tetraplegia and high care assistance required.

Shifts:

Monday - Sunday

6 am-8 am/6 am - 11am/6pm-8 pm/10 pm - 6 am active night

Rates:

Day $43.75 per hour

Afternoon $48.12 per hour

Night: $49 per hour

Saturday $61.25 per hour

Sunday $78.75 per hour

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with bowel therapy
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling such as hoisting and transfers
• Administering medication
• Assistance with cough assist
• Assistance with catherter care
• Provide assistance with allied health physio recommendations

Skills & Experience

• Australian Drivers Licence
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
• Medication administration certificate
