Disability Support Worker

Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to work with our female clients in Rockhampton, Qld.

One of our participants is 75-year-old and has suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and injuries to Sternum, Pelvis, Radius, Ribs and Spine. She requires moderate to high intensity care. She is located near Rockhampton city.

Shift Hours: Monday to Sunday, between 9.00am to 3.00pm.

Another female participant is a 30-year-old female and has also sustained Traumatic Brain Injury. She is in Berserker, QLD.

Shift Hours: Ongoing Monday and Thursday, 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Applicants with prior experience of working with brain injury clients will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with personal care.
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, washing & meal preparation.
• Community access + rehab appointments.
• Capacity building and Companionship.

Pay rate:

• Day Shift: $38.75 per hour
• Saturday Shift: $54.25 per hour
• Sunday Shift: $69.75 per hour
• Travel allowance: $0.99 per km (applied only when travelling the participant to and from medical appointments).

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Certificate of Completion
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module - Certificate of Completion
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
