Disability Support Worker

About the Company:
Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We have multiple clients throughout South Australia, including both city and regional areas, with diverse needs and a variety of vacancies to fill. This provides multiple options for skilled support workers looking to join our team.

We currently have morning, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts available. If you're interested, we encourage you to apply, and we can discuss the roles in more detail to find the best fit for your skills and availability.

Our participants require a variety of support services, including assistance with daily living, personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and community access. Depending on the participant's needs, you may assist with personal care and daily living activities, support medication management, facilitate capacity building, and promote independence. Some participants may require support with managing behaviours, performing domestic tasks like cleaning and meal preparation, or engaging in community access. Each role is tailored to meet the unique needs of the participant, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact while building relationships.

Start dates and shifts are flexible to align with your availability, providing you with the opportunity to choose a schedule that works best for you.

Pay Rates:

  • Day shift $38.75 per hour
  • Afternoon shift $42.62 per hour
  • Saturday shift $54.25 per hour
  • Sunday shift $69.75 per hour
  • $0.99 travel allowance per km (applies only when travelling with participant to and from appointments.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Have current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Hold a Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Have excellent communication skills and a passion for making a difference
