Disability Support Worker

About the Company:

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the health care field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We require a support worker to partner with a young female adult participant based in Mackay. Our participant sustained a spinal cord injury and requires assistance with the below.

Available shifts:

7 days

AM 10 am - 2:30 pm

PM 5 pm - 9 pm



Rates:

Day $43.75 per hour

Afternoon $ 48.12 per hour

Saturday $ 61.25 per hour

Sunday $ 78.75 per hour

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling such as hoisting and transfers
• Administering medication

Skills & Experience

• Australian Drivers Licence
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
• Medication administration certificate
