About the Company:

Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers for ongoing work, to partner with a male participant in his 20's based in Sunnybank, QLD. Our participant has sustained a spinal cord injury which has resulted in limited mobility.

Due the complexity of the participant, reliability and flexibility is extremely important and only candidates with high-level care experience will be considered (Bowel care, catheter care, hoisting etc).

There are multiple AM and PM shifts available across Monday to Sunday, including inactive sleepovers.

Pay Rates:

• Day - $40 per hour
• Evening - $44 per hour
• Saturday - $56 per hour
• Sunday - $72 per hour
• $0.96 travel allowance (applies only when travelling with participant to and from medical/rehab appointments)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with personal care
• Bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
• Hoisting/transfers
• Completing skin checks
• Medication prompting
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
• Community access + rehab appointments

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
• Must have flexible availability
