Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
UHC are seeking to engage Disability Support Workers to partner with a male participant based in Hervey Bay, QLD 4127. Our Participant is requiring the highest complex care and is non-verbal.

The role would be commencing immediately and will be from Monday to Friday, and the vacant shifts are in the afternoon (15:00-21:00) followed by an inactive sleepover (21:00-05:00) and an early morning shift (5:00-7:00).

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care and Hygiene
• PEG Feeding
• Medication Management
• Manual Handling: transfer and hoist.
• Bowel Management
• Bladder Management
• Community Access + Health and Rehab

Pay Rate:

• Day shift: $42.50 per hour
• Afternoon shift: $46.75 per hour
• Night shift: $47.60 per hour
• Saturday shift: $59.50 per hour
• Sunday shift: $76.50 per hour

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current Police Clearance
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current Blue Card
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Third Party Compulsory Insurance
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
