About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to support a 62-year-old male participant in Bundamba. Our participant, who speaks Thai as his first language and does not speak English, has recently sustained a brain injury from a motor vehicle accident and requires assistance with personal care, capacity building, and supervision.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
• Providing supervision, as the participant is at risk of falling and tends to wander
• Supporting the participant with community access, rehabilitation, and health appointments
• Assisting with domestic tasks and capacity-building activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fluency in Thai (preferred, as this is the participant's native language)
• Australian Driver Licence
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Blue Card and Yellow Card
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Infection Control Training (COVID-19)
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude

Please Note:
Two current professional references are required as part of the application process.

Pay Rates:

• Day Rate: $38.75 per hour
• Saturday: $54.25 per hour
• Sunday: $69.75 per hour
• Travel Allowance: $0.96 per kilometre (when travelling with the participant)
