Disability Support Worker

The Role

Unidex Healthcare is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support a male participant with a spinal cord injury.

This role involves providing person-centred support to a male participant across a 7-day roster. Support includes assistance with daily living activities, personal care, manual handling, medication support, and community access, while promoting his independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be required to have flexible availability and be able to work a variety of shifts across the 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, and a combination of morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

Pay Rates from $39.25 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Personal care support
• Domestic assistance
• Manual handling, including transfers
• Medication assistance in line with training and competency
• Community access support
• Stoma care

Skills & Requirements

• Valid Australian Driver's Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care
• Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
• Current Blue Card and Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Effective Communication Module
• HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
