Disability Support Worker

The Role:
Unidex Healthcare are seeking experienced, compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to partner with a participant based in Hervey Bay. Experience is highly regarded, with onsite training also provided. Reliability and flexibility are required.

Rates:
From $39.25 day rate

Inactive night allowance $187.81

Shifts:

6am-2pm, 7:30am-9:30am, 6:30pm-8:30pm and

2pm-10pm + inactive overnight 10pm-6am

Must be available for flexible shift allocations on a 24/7 roster, including inactive nights.

Duties:

• Bowel therapy
• Medication administration
• Rehabilitation assistance, including assisting with exercise and stretching regimes
• Following Allied Health recommendations
• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling, including turning and hoist transfers

Skills and Experience:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care is essential
• HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication certificate is required
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
• Current Yellow Card
• Current Blue Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module
• Relevant disability support or complex care experience highly regarded
