Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruits across the healthcare sector, specializing in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role: Unidex Healthcare is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support a male participant with a spinal cord injury.

This role involves providing person-centered support across a 7-day roster, assisting with daily living, personal care, manual handling, medication support and community access.

This is a casual ongoing role with a mid-June start available.

Rates:

Day: $39.25 per hour
Afternoon rate: $43.18 per hour
Saturday: $54.95 per hour
Sunday: $70.65 per hour

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling, such as transfers
• Assisting with medication in line with training and competency requirements
• Assisting with community access
• Experience in Bowel Therapy

Skills and Experience:

• Australian Driver License
• Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
