Disability Support Worker

The Role: We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to assist a female participant in Woolloongabba, QLD 4102, who sustained a spinal cord injury from a motor vehicle accident. The position is available December 12, 2024, with assistance required Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM or 12:00 PM, depending on community access. Additionally, assistance is required from 19:00 PM to 21:00 PM (split shifts).

Our participant also has a history of mental health including anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, BPD and OCD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Provide domestic assistance
• Catheter management
• Bowel management
• Skin integrity management
• Plan, transport, and accompany the participant to community access, health, and rehabilitation appointments
• Provide companionship and emotional support

Compensation:

• Day Shift: $40.00 per hour
• Afternoon shift: $44.00 per hour
• Saturday shift: $56.00 per hour
• Sunday shift: $72.00 per hour
• Travel Allowance: $0.99 per km (for medical-related travel)

Skills & Experience Required:

• Valid Australian Driver's License
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current Police Clearance
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Current Blue Card
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Completion of NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Third Party Compulsory Insurance
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
